The Spirit Radio branded itself as the Next Generation of Christian Music. This was its official website for a number of years.

As a part of our ministry, tSr offers an online Christian radio station for your listening enjoyment. The main focus of our station is independent Christian artists, but we also play great mainstream Christian music from the past and present.

In order to listening to our streaming audio, you will need to have software installed on your computer that can handle playback of streaming audio. We have provided links above that will allow you to listen on some of the more popular players. In addition to using the links above, tSr is also listed in the radio section of iTunes under Religious and can be listened to right through the iTunes software.

In Focus: When I was much younger I would listen to tSr. I really love Christian music in all its variations. This past summer I attended the En Gedi Music Festival in Leonidas, Michigan with some friends from my hometown of Kalamazoo. I live on the east coast now but always return to Michigan to visit friends and family for at least a week and sometimes more in the summer. A group of us adults along with numerous kids drove down to the En Gedi Campground River Resort & Canoe Livery where the festival is held. If you are not familiar with this festival it is a one day outdoor event featuring Christian music, family activities, Kid Zone, food, craft and family friendly product vendors, ministry exhibits and so much more! Terrific festival and am looking forward to their 2020 festival. This year Sanctus Real, Jonny Diaz, Good Little Giants, Cody Collier, Old Man Xero, Average Joe Ministries, Rick Richardson, The Concordia University Praise Team, The Sheldon Family and more preformed awesome.I don't think you can experience such a diversity of Christian music genres including Southern Gospel, pop / rap and even some super Banjo playing! This festival is geared toward the celebration of Life, and a major part of the proceeds benefits The Pregnancy Helpline Center of Three Rivers which I think is wonderful.

Our small group of homeschool families listened to a lot of radio and I remember one especially interesting storytelling program. It was called Growler Radio and had my kids enthralled - we listened to every episode together. It wasn't like any kids programming we've ever heard. The stories were told using pretty sophisticated vocabulary and storylines so adults could tune it as well. Years later, my best friend was launching a business and was looking for a technical team to launch a website and discovered that the SEO guru Bob Sakayama was the creator of Growler Radio and he called on his own kids to voice the characters. SEO is search engine optimization, the way websites can rank in Google. In addition to being a technical wizard, Bob also was a composer and we've been hearing his music for years. He wrote the theme for many kids tv programs like Alphabet Soup, which we also watched. He then released the entire 27 episodes of Growler Radio on growler.com and made it free. Got an email the other day from my college freshman daughter who told me she had re-listened to the entire series multiple times from her dorm. Radio is still an important part of our lives.

Debbie considers herself a songwriter, not a performer..."My goal is to havemy songs recorded by others! If you hear something you would like to record yourself, please contact me!!". Debbie has been playing piano by ear since age 7, and in the mid 90s she was the keyboardist for a well-known rock band in Houston with her now ex-husband and brother-in-law. Things fell apart after her husband decided to pursue a music career on his own. Left as a single mom with a 10 month old son, a bankruptcy and a foreclosure, she faced the challenge of moving back to her hometown and accepting a low paying job just to make ends meet. Her music career was put on hold. Slowly but surely, the Lord continued to bless her and restore her. She was able to get a better job, and began to rebuild her life with her son. At age 4, her son required major surgery to correct a birth deformity.

Only 3 months into his recovery, at the age of 36, Debbie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She neglected her own diagnosis until she knew her son was out of the woods. By then, however, the physicians didn’t give her much of a chance. But she continued to trust in the Lord, telling everyone, "I KNEW that I had already been healed." Debbie went on to have a complete mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, but she knew the battle had already been won. Her surgeon was amazed to find that her cancer had not spread, and she was given a clean bill of health. Six months into her chemotherapy, her house flooded due to a tropical storm. Debbie and her son were forced to move into a different house down the street. But, the Lord is good, and even as she was going thru this battle, He had put into motion His plan to bring her a soul-mate. Debbie and her current husband, Darren, went on their first date just weeks before her hair fell out due to Chemo. "I had not had the time to date after my first husband left, and quite frankly, had not been looking." Debbie and Darren knew each other from Sunday School, but neither had thought about dating. It was her son’s daycare lady who suggested that they get together. Darren’s children, a son and a daughter, went to the same daycare as Debbie's son. They were a family without a mother, and Debbie and her son were a family without a father. They were married after 24 months of courtship, and now are a blessed family of five. During this time, Debbie hadn’t really thought much about her music; it was just a part of her past. She still tinkered around on the piano, but didn’t pursue it seriously. Darren, however, knew her heart. He bought Debbie a fancy keyboard for their first Christmas together, and within a week she had her first song.

"There is no doubt these songs are coming from the Lord", Debbie says. "On my own, the ability just isn’t there. The songs He gives me are so varied in style...everything from country to rock, children’s to alternative. I feel like God has given me these songs because He has a message that needs to get out". Although Debbie has dabbled in writing before, this time it is different. "The music just seems to pour out", she says, "And if it helps someone somewhere along the way, then His will is done. These songs are meant to honor Him. I can only hope that I can do them justice". Currently, Debbie is playing the keyboards and teaching a girls 3rd-6th grade class for her church youth group each Wednesday night, and she is also teaching a Band class to the 3rd-6th graders at her church the first Sunday of each month. Debbie and Darren continue to be involved in the same Sunday school class where they first met, with Darren being one of the leaders and alternate teachers. Their children are active in Sunday school and the Church band, and are members of the kids Wednesday night BreakOut group. Their youngest, Joshua (age 8), considers himself a prayer-warrior, and has even volunteered at local radio station KSBJ's Summerfest (with David Crower, Newsboys, etc.) as a prayer partner.

"Thank you Jesus!!" says Debbie. "My life is such an adventure right now. I can't wait to see what He has in store for me next!".

Eva had started singing at three yrs old. Her singing talent had been shown in various events such as major concerts, Festivals, church specials occasions and fund raising events. She enjoys entertaining people, and love to make new friends. Presently, at a very young age of ten, she is actively serving the Charisma Christian Center in Lynnwood, WA worshiping, leading and assisting young kids at church on Sundays. RADIO DISTRIBUTION

tSr Music Group is pleased to announce our new music distribution service. The purpose of this new service is to get your music out to as many radio stations as possible. Here is what this new service includes:

  • Your music will be submitted to nearly 500 Christian radio stations on a regular basis. We will submit your music at the rate of approximately one song per month, just like the major record labels do. That way we will be sending the stations your current "single". You can select which song you want to promote as your current single, or you can ask us to assist you in making this selection.
  • Radio stations will all be emailed that your new single is available and going for adds. They can then download your song and add it to their rotation.
  • Radio stations will receive "press releases" from tSr Music Group promoting your music and asking them to give the song a listen and consider adding it to their playlist.
  • Monthly reports will be made available to you informing you of what stations have downloaded your songs. We will provide contact information for these stations so you will be able to contact them personally if you wish.

In addition to all of the above, you will also be given featured artist status on tSr with all of the benefits associated with that.

Your music will be made available to radio stations under the banner of tSr Music Group. This means that we will be acting as both your "record label" and your "music distribution" company. This does not mean that you have to use tSr exclusively. This service is a simple month-to-month relationship and you reserve the right to cancel at any time.
